The Jewish Community of Ojai (JCO) is made up of a socially active group of people who enjoy practicing their faith and spending time with their fellow members.
Founded in 1994, JCO is a synagogue and community center that strives to preserve tradition while encouraging innovation in Judaism.
In 1999, we moved to our present location. Major renovations took place in 2014-2018, including a new social hall, a remodeled bimah, the gift from the Jewish Museum of New York of several stained glass windows, depicting Blessings within Judaism, new chandeliers, a remodeled entry hall, newly installed security systems and a new Rabbi's library/study.

JCO events include Bar Mitzvahs and Bat Mitzvahs, adult education, weddings, funerals, Hebrew School, movies, guest speakers, and community service.
