Preparing for Death with Doula Assistance

Death is inevitable.  Whether impending or past, we often meet death with fear, anger and grief.  But what if we saw it as a part of living? And something we could talk about as easily as the latest book we read?

Shai will openly discuss on how to bring death more fully into our lives and how doulas can help families and health care providers. As a trained death doula, she will describe how doulas can assist in death preparation and what they do to care for the deceased and the survivors. Having recently experienced her own mother’s passing, she discovered the importance of having guidance and support at this time. She also has been a hospice volunteer for the past 15 years.
