“ENGAGING THE FEMININE HEROIC:
Beyond the Hero’s Journey, Her Side of the Story”

It's empowering to hear stories today that celebrate women in traditionally masculine heroic roles, tending to focus on proving oneself in the outer world. but the Feminine Heroic represents something far greater. The Feminine Heroic, however, centers on making meaning, forging connection, and discovering inner value rather than telling a tale of conquest or physical dominance.
Using ancient myths and modern stories, Dara Marks reveals mythic patterns and explores how too few of our contemporary tales engage the Feminine side of the story, leaving us disconnected and isolated from ourselves and each other. She believes in honoring the inner Feminine journey as much as we exalt the outward quest for glory and triumph in order to rebalance our cultural narrative.
