Speaker's series: Kabbalah - Exploring Jewish Mysticism

Kabbalah emerged from forms of Jewish Mysticism in the 12th and 13th centuries in Spain and is still being studied today. Kabbalists believe that through study and practice one can achieve a closer connection with God and understand the inner workings of the universe.

Rabbi Mike will examine readings of some familiar texts from Genesis and Deuteronomy and provide new, inspiring interpretations. He will also discuss ways to enhance our daily lives with more spirituality and contrast Jewish spirituality with other forms.

Rabbi Lotker is currently a scholar-in-residence at Temple Adat Elohim in Thousand Oaks and Rabbi emeritus at Temple Ner Tamid and our own Jewish Community of Ojai.
