Breads & Butter

"Hamotzi lechem min ha'aretz" is the blessing we recite before eating bread, blessing God for bringing forth bread (grain) from the earth.

Breaking bread together is a lovely way of encouraging a spirit of community. Come join us as we all enjoy the homemade breads of JCO bakers who will share their sweet and/or savory breads with us.

Beverages and accoutrements will be provided.

All are welcome to bring their favorite breads as well, though optional. If you do, be sure to accompany it with a note identifying the kind of bread it is and who brought it.

There is no charge. This is a purely social ...and delicious...gathering for members and prospective members of the Jewish Community of Ojai.
